As professionals in the real estate industry, many of us enjoy helping our clients find a home they love. For the past several years, that dream has become exponentially harder for some of our neighbors to achieve.
In a community with such rich resources, it’s hard to grasp that homelessness has become a public health crisis. The numbers are staggering — 6,500 Wake County Public School children are homeless. We can harness our collective power to fill the gaps in services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. With funding, we can supercharge local housing nonprofits to service their clients with hope and dignity.
